KENMORE MODEL 158.1601 Sewing Machine Manual
This is the manual for the 1970’s Kenmore model 158.1601 sewing machine that uses decorative stitch cams.
This is a digitally scanned copy (NOT an original) of the instruction manual for the vintage Kenmore 158.1601 zig zag sewing machine. It’s specifically for model 1601, but I think it would work for many models in the 158 series that use the popular green design cams and accessory kits. It covers the usual topics, such as: threading the top and the bobbin, cleaning, oiling and troubleshooting; it also covers: using all the controls, all the accessories and attachments, straight stitching, zigzag stitching, stretch stitching, single needle stitching, double needle stitching, and reverse stitch designs. The original manual had an envelope in which to store the attachment cards that come with the accessory kit. We’ve printed the instructions on the cards at this point to make sure you have everything you need to use this wonderful sewing machine. It has a color cover and 64 black and white pages, measuring 8-1/2 by 5-1/2 inches, as true to the original as we can make it.
